Course content

This course offers certain specialized topics in language theory, interpreted in a broad sense (e.g. in phonetics, syntax, pragmatics, language and cognition, translation, language learning, language change, sosiolinguistics, etc.). The content will vary according to the candidates’ interests and projects.

Learning outcome

The candidate has knowledge of key linguistic theories relevant to their own project.

Learning methods and activities

Lectures/ seminars. The course may be held in cooperation with the Norwegian Graduate Researcher School in Linguistics and Philology.
