Course content
This course will be offered at regular intervals and will focus on current issues and methods that are of current interest. Topic, approach and lecturer will vary accordingly. A separate course description is created for each time a specific course is offered under this course code. The course can take place in autumn or spring, but only after special announcement.
Learning outcome
To develop the candidates qualifications according to new scientific knowledge and analythical reflections regarding the specific topic offered under the course code.
Learning methods and activities
Lectures, seminars, written assignment (essay), presentations by the participants and discussions.
The course may be taught in either Norwegian or English.
The teaching can be canceled or changed if there are fewer than 5 registered, and/or that the department of social work does not have teaching capacity.
The course is only instructed by special announcement.
Compulsory assignments
- Participation, presentation of paper and paper discussion
Further on evaluation
Participants are supposed to write a paper around 4500-5000 words linked to the course content but can also (doesn't have to) relate to the participant's own PhD-dissertation.
An identical version of the exam paper cannot be used directly in the PhD thesis as an article or a chapter. A revised version of the exam paper may be included in the thesis.
