This assignment must be approved by the tutor before the master's thesis may be submitted for assessment.

The master's thesis should be approx. 32000-40000 words and counts as 60 credits. The work may consist of one long paper, or a collection of several shorter articles, presuming they together form a whole. In case of the latter, the collection of articles must be accompanied by a preface clarifying the connection between the various parts in a satisfying manner. If a well-reasoned application is submitted, individuals may be granted permission to work on a joint project in teams of no more than three persons. In these cases the demands of quality and scope will be raised. The final report will include a precise description of the distribution of the work load.
