About the course

Course content

This course discusses the concept of personality, and gives an introductory knowledge of the main theories, methods and research findings related to the main questions in personality psychology: 1) What is personality, 2) how do you measure personality, and 3) how can personality predict future behavior?

Learning outcome

Knowledge:The student has basic knowledge concerning the major personality theories, methods, and main research findings within personality psychology.

Skills:The student can comprehend and use key constructs domains in personality psychology.The student can describe, discuss, and compare different domains in personality within personality psychology.The student can define and use key concepts within each domain of personality psychology.The student can explain, compare, and discuss basic theories of personality psychology.

General competence:The student should be able to communicate scientific reasoning and exchange views with others with a background in personality psychology. convey independent work and master the course mode of expression.

Learning methods and activities

Lectures 2 hours per week and studygroups.

Limited admission to classes.

Exam registration requires that class registration is approved in the same semester.
