About the course

Course content

The master thesis shall include a scientific analysis of a topic within political science, preferably connected to one of the programme's specialization courses. The thesis should have a length of 70-80 pages and must not exceed 32 000 words (table of contents, reference list and attachments are excluded). The thesis must be an individual work and should be in the form of a monograph. The student must participate in the compulsory master thesis seminars. Supervision constitutes a substantial part of the work with the thesis. This ensures that the student is offered the necessary knowledge and involves an essential control of the collecting and treatment of data, within ethical research guidelines. Supervision is therefore a compulsory component of the programme for students who wish to submit a master thesis.

Every student must sign a master's thesis agreement which, among other things, regulates supervision.
