Course content

The course provides a survey of European organ history.

Learning outcome

Knowledge:

The student:

  • has knowledge about the history of organ in Europe
  • has knowledge about the organ literature and its connections to different types of organ instruments
  • has knowledge about how organs are constructed and how they work

Skills:

The candidate:

  • can do simple corrections and tuning.

Learning methods and activities

Instruction: Lectures - 1 hour pr. week for 20 weeks

Compulsory assignments

  • Course in Organ Knowlegde B
  • Satisfactory participation in compulsory instruction

Further on evaluation

Written assignment. Scope: 12-15 typed A4 pages with 1.5 spacing, type size 12, and standard margins. Illustrations and tabells are in addition to this. The student will work with the given task from October, and deliver it in May.
