Course content
This gives PhD students possibility to develop relevant knowledge on the subject via attending a summer school. The summer school selected should explore on topics related to the digital manufacturing and knowledge-based engineering. The responsible teacher at NTNU side may formulate additional tasks to elaborate specific topics of the summer school to help addressing a research subject of a PhD student attending the summer school. The expected amount of workload and corresponding ETC given for the topic are between 2- 5 ETC.
Learning outcome
The student will explore and develop knowledge on selected topics of the summer school attended.

The learrning methods and activites depend on a particular summer school. It may include, for example, lectures, practical works, seminars.
Recommended previous knowledge
The student must have participated in a summer school on the related field of research/expertise. Admission to a PhD programme is required. Certificate from the PhD summer school must be presented.

All students taking this course must be enrolled in a ph.d program at NTNU.
