Course content
Course 2 physical education 5-10 shall together with course 1 qualify for teaching physical education from 5-10. steps in primary school. The teaching is based on physical education as a general education subject and must be linked to the field of practice. The student will acquire knowledge of and experience with teaching in various movement environments and activities that are relevant. The subject didactics in the course is based on a practical approach, where knowledge of what promotes physical learning and joy of movement in all students is central.

- has knowledge of various movement activities
- has knowledge of the body as a symbol in today's society with emphasis on how this is expressed in children and youth culture
- has knowledge of what can promote joy of movement through adapted activity for students in grades 5-10
Skills
The candidate
- can carry out and evaluate teaching in physical education based on legislation, current curriculum and professional ethics guidelines
- can assess students' physical learning and prerequisites as a basis for adapted education and learning-promoting feedback
- can assess the student's goal achievement, justify the assessments and facilitate the student's self - assessment
- can develop and use own skills and knowledge in varied movement activities with a view to teaching physical education
- can plan, organize and carry out learning work in outdoor activities and nature travel, including overnight trips
- can explore own bodily expressions and lead and carry out creative processes where movement experience and reflection are central
- can identify hazards, assess and safeguard students' safety in various activities and movement environments
- can carry out learning work that promotes cooperation in physical education
- can include the basic skills in teaching on the subject's premises

- can work with physical education in an interdisciplinary perspective, including the three interdisciplinary topics in the curriculum
Learning methods and activities
The program contains varied forms of learning with a lot of practical work in different learning environments. Students must work individually and in groups.

- 80% compulsory attendance at classes.
- Approved up to 4 exercises.
Mandatory work requirements are assessed with approved / not approved.
Exam:
- Paper 20%
- Practical/oral 80%
