Examination arrangement
Course content
In semester 2C, the following subjects are taught: adult psychiatry, child and youth psychiatry, substance abuse, physical medicine, neurosurgery, neurology, ENT, eye and stroke.
In connection with the above subjects, teaching is given in microbiology, imaging, pharmacology, pathology and medical biochemistry.
All Link students, including those possibly traveling on exchange, must during the autumn of the fourth year of study choose a topic for their main thesis, make an agreement with their supervisor and submit a protocol for approval by 31 January of the following semester. See also semester 3A.
In addition, there will be teaching in the longitudinal threads "Scientific competence", "Health promotion and prevention" and "Communication, patient contact and professionalism" which will run from start to finish throughout the entire medical course.
Course MDA4042 is the decentralized variant of course MDT4042. Prerequisites, exam forms and learning objectives are identical, while the learning forms vary.

Compulsory activities
Compulsory activity is assessed as approved or not approved and consists of the following two components.
1. Attendance at Problem Based Learning (PBL)
2. Clinical rotations in the hospital
A maximum of 15% unauthorized absence from this teaching is permitted.
Students with an approved compulsory activity do not need to complete this again when repeating the exam.
The exam
The exam in the subject consists of a two-part assessment.
1. Written exam, 4 hours
2. Oral exam, OSKE
Both parts 1) and 2) must be passed for the exam to be passed.
If the students don't pass 2C in the autumn semester, they are allowed to continue in 2D in the following spring semester. Resit exam will go on in august. The students who do not pass the exam will have to resit only the part of the exam they did not pass, i.e. either the oral or the written exam (or both).

Required previous knowledge
Admisson to CMED and successfully completed 3 year of medical school (MDT4030/MDA4030/MDL4030).
