About the course
Course content
Course description: Semester IIIC is mainly dedicated to environmental- and social medicine. During the semester the students should expand their knowledge of and skills in medical behavioural subjects and patient-doctor communication, environmental medicine, epidemiology and medical statistics, and clinical decision-making, and apply this knowledge in a practical/clinical setting. The students should also procure new knowledge within the fields of general practice social medicine, public health, occupational medicine, environmental medicine, preventive medicine, geriatrics, health service administration and economy, social inequality in health, and women's health. Elements of history of medicine, ethics and forensic medicine are also taught.
An important part of the semester is the 6-week apprenticeship in general practice/primary care.
For compulsory activity, a maximum of 15% unauthorized absence from this course are allowed. If TverrPraks is completed in MD4053, the mandatory activity is considered approved.

Written exam includes subjects taught in the subjects MD4053 and MD4061. In addition, up to 1/3 of the exam's total weight may consist of material from previous semesters.

Medical studies (CMED)
Required previous knowledge
Admission requirements:CMED and passed the fifth year of Medical School (MD4051 and MD4053).
