About

About the course

Course content

The goal with the course is to give a solid background for studies in topology, and develop geometrical ideas and algebraic methods. The course supports studies in related subjects in algebra and geometry. Topics that can be discussed include products and power operations, K-theory, bordism theory, and many others.

Learning outcome

1. Knowledge. The student has knowledge of advanced topics in algebraic topology. 2. Skills. The student is able to apply his or her knowledge of algebraic topology to formulate and solve problems of a geometric-topological nature.

Learning methods and activities

Lectures and exercises. The course is given every other year, assuming enough students sign up for the course. Next time is Fall 2021. If not enough students register for the course, it will be given as a reading course.
