Course content
The course consists of an individual theoretical syllabus at the master's degree level in connection with the master's degree/project.
Learning outcome
The course should support and be relevant for the master’s thesis in a general way, without being part of the project work in the master's thesis.
Learning methods and activities
The Special Syllabus is primarily intended for self-study. Depending on the defined syllabus, and by agreement between the candidate and the instructor, the learning methods and activities may also include individual supervision, group work, seminars, etc.
Expected work load in the course is 200-225 hours.
Course materials
The syllabus is defined by the instructor in collaboration with the student. The scope and level should correspond to approximately 350 pages (textbook text or other learning materials, for instance, peer-reviewed articles) at the master level. The course load is equivalent to 200-225 hours of study.
The syllabus has to be selected to avoid significant overlap (reduction of ECTS credits) with other courses the student has in their study plan (including the core content of their master project).
