Course content

The main objective of this course is to provide fundamentals and basic knowledge about colour management and image quality. After completing this course, the students will have an understanding of the principles in terms of consistent and accurate colour reproduction for a variety of media platforms. Lectures will cover important aspects of human visual system including colour vision and visual phenomenology, the use of ICC colour management technology, the importance of colour measurement and the evaluation of image quality. Furthermore, they shall be able to proficiently apply colour management techniques in the context of graphic design and media production.

Learning outcome

After completing this course, the students will have an understanding of the principles in terms of consistent and accurate colour reproduction for a variety of media platforms. Furthermore, they shall be able to proficiently apply colour management techniques in the context of graphic design and media production.
