- Knowledge about circuit design, layout, PCB, assembly, soldering and testing.
- Overview of components used for electronics construction.
- Know of noise and EMC, and principles to reduce the effect of this in electronic systems.
- Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical construction for electronic circuits.
Skills
The candidate will be able to:
- Analyze, model and simulate electronic circuits with SPICE.
- Use CAD tools for drawing and layout for circuit design.
- Make PCB and assemble components on it.
- Test and verify a produced electronic circuit design.
- Model signal and noise and calculate expected target accuracy in a measurement system -
- Program data acquisition and data presentation
- Document experiments and measurement data.
General competence
- The candidate shall be able to develop, make and test electronic equipment - from idea to final product.
Learning methods and activities
Lectures. Exercises. Laboratory work. Project work.
Further on evaluation
The final grade is given by two objects with partial assessments, including an oral exam (counts 50%) and a mandatory project (counts 50%). All objects must be passed. Grade: Letter grade. If the project has a failing grade, the project must be re-taken at the next completion of the course.
In case of a re-sit examination of the oral exam, this will be executed as an oral exam the following August. If the course has not been passed after the re-sit examination, individual objects can be re-taken.
