Learning outcome
Knowledge - candidate has knowledge about:
- Central concepts of database systems
- SQL language for both data definition and querying
Skills - candidate can:
- Design an efficient database structure, using normalization
- Write efficient SQL data queries
- Develop software systems that interact with SQL databases
- Install and set up an SQL database server
General competence - candidate is able to:
- Plan and execute software development projects including databases
- Communicate orally and in writing about topics of the course
Learning methods and activities
Pedagogical methods: Lectures, exercises, and group project work. The subject requires a high personal effort. Mandatory requirements: Exercises, project application, and project reporting in accordance with established deadlines. Further provision on minimum content, requirements, and deadlines regarding the project is given by the lecturer at the study start. The project shall be submitted and approved before an exam may be taken.
