Course content

This course deals with the handling of uncertainty, with a focus on energy markets, investments and equilibrium theory. Optimization under uncertainty is a key framework.

Learning outcome

  • The course will provide a deeper knowledge of optimization under uncertainty.
  • The course will form a basis for decision support related to valuation and strategic, tactical and operational decisions in business and management contexts, where uncertainty is an important factor.

Learning methods and activities

Lectures. Participation in the seminars is expected, which includes attendance at all lectures, as well as contributions to the discussions. There will be compulsory activities in the course.

Required previous knowledge

Admission to a PhD programme within operations research, or completed masters courses in optimization.
