Course content
Establishing oneself in the market requires talent, skills, and an understanding of how the processes in the field of culture work. How can knowledge of cultural entrepreneurship help one to succeed?
The course introduces theories of cultural entrepreneurship and innovation, as well as experience and collaboration skills in interdisciplinary project-oriented group work.
In this course, students from various fields of applied aesthetics at NTNU meet and develop knowledge of how entrepreneurship and innovation can be understood within the aesthetic field, and how this knowledge can be transformed into an understanding of one's own work. The main goals are to give the candidate a realistic relationship to establish a creative work situation in today's society, and to strengthen reflection and understanding of one's own practice in a societal perspective.
Collaborative learning through group work with students from other practical-aesthetic subjects as well as communication of and reflection on one's own practice is central. The course will consist of both written and theoretical aspects in addition to practical project work.
Ahead of the group-based project, the candidate will, through theme-based lectures, receive an introduction to conceptual understanding, support schemes, promotion, etc.
This is a subject area course (områdeemne) within the humanities and arts. The generic theme is innovation and entrepreneurship.
