Individual supervision on the written thesis, including individual- and collective tutoring seminars on production work. During the seminar the students will give and receive feedback on their own and fellow student's texts. The seminar is offered in connection to, or in addition to, other Masters' level courses.

Compulsory assignments:

  • Project description for the written part of the thesis developed during first or second semester, and presented both in oral and written form during a supervision seminar.
  • Presentation of a thesis chapter during the third or fourth semester, and give feedback on fellow students chapters.

The volume of the thesis is of about 16 000 - 24 000 words. The number of words does not include front page, preface, table of content, literature and attachments. The word numbers must be added to the thesis, and the student is responsible for its accuracy. All students must write an abstract of the thesis of approx. 1/2 - 1 page. The abstract should be written in Norwegian and preferably also in English. Students are required to stay updated on any information given by the department or course director via Blackboard. Please see link for the numbers of hours of supervision eligible for your masters thesis https://innsida.ntnu.no/wiki/-/wiki/Norsk/Masteravtale+HF
