Course content
FVP2006 Individual Production Placement is an elective course at BA level, where students through an internship attain experience with and insight into the operation and activities of a production company.
Students who want to take this course must themselves obtain an internship in a film or television production company, which must be approved by the department. Approval of the internship is dependent upon the placement not conflicting with other learning activities within the bachelor programme.
The duration of the internship must be between 90 and 120 work hours, divided out across at least three work weeks.
Learning outcome
Knowledge
After completing the course, the student will have knowledge of how a production company is organised and works.
Skills
By completing the course, the student will have developed their skills within a specific area of film production.
Learning methods and activities
Participation in the daily activities of a production company.
There is a joint information meeting on campus at the start of the course. After this, the course has no other joint sessions during the semester.
Learning activities / milestones for the course:
- Approval of placement company by the course supervisor before the placement agreement is signed
- Placement agreement, filled out and signed before the placement period commences. Signed by:
- Contact person at the placement company
- Placement student
- Department of Art and Media Studies
- A description of the work and assignments completed by the student
- Days / work hours in total (90-120 work hours divided over at least three work weeks)
- Absence
- Evaluation of the performance of the placement student during the placement period (use a separate document if needed)
- Placement report explaining the knowledge and experiences acquired by the candidate at the placement company. Approx. 2000 words
- All milestones (Approval of placement company; Placement agreement; Attestation letter)
The placement period must be completed and approved by the course supervisor at the latest two weeks before the final submission deadline of the portfolio exam.

Portfolio, with all milestones and placement report approx. 2000 words.
