Course content
This is a didactically oriented course in which the following topics are addressed: language development with a particular focus on oral skills, overall language skills, and strategies for language learning in the English-speaking classroom.
One or more obligatory assignments will include sharing what is taught with colleagues. This can for instance be in regard to digital-didactical resources which will be first demonstrated to colleagues, then used on a trial basis with pupils, and subsequently discussed with colleagues.

The course is offered online with a duration of approximately 13 weeks, and consists of lectures, each within a given topic. The respective topics will be treated through a lecture, relevant readings, and exercises. Students will maintain contact the teacher and peers through a forum and open course blog. Digital tools will be applied in regard to oral presentations and online meetings.
Compulsory Assignments
Obligatory coursework will vary in terms of scope, form, content, and purpose. Furthermore, the focus will be on written and oral work, including the production of short responses. Additionally, some of the work will be collaborative. Academic text production and source usage are important elements to consider when communicating subject knowledge; hence, the course will also include the submission of two longer texts. The activities will be evaluated as approved/not approved and will not be part of the final assessment. However, all obligatory course work must be approved in order for the student to be eligible for the exam.
Specific conditions
Exam registration requires that class registration is approved in the same semester as the exam is taken. Compulsory activities from previous semesters may be approved by the department.
