Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of a theoretical subject relevant to the student's PhD project. Skills: Ability to apply this knowledge as part of the student's PhD program. General competence: Ability to reflect over the subject in relation to the student's PhD work and in a broader social context.

Mastres degree in computer science, informatics or equivalent, or admitted to NTNU's integrated PhD programme.
