ESN- Characteristics and examples. Use of ESN, Knowledge work and ESN, Change and ESN, Analytics and managing ESN, ESN and leadership.
Learning outcome
Knowledge
The candidate is able to:
- explain the concept of Enterprise Social Networks (ESN) and what characterises this type of solutions
- descrive how ESN can be used in organisations in general and to support knowledge work in particular
- discuss changes that ESN can contribute to in organisations
- describe typical challenges when adopting ESN
- describe how to facilitate adoption and use of ESN
- discuss how leadership is affected by ESN
Skills
The candidate is able to:
- identify opportunities for changes that ESN can contribute to in organisations
- assess challenges when carrying out changes
- can contribute with initialising and carrying out ESN projects
General knowledge
The candidate is able to:
- general knowledge about how ESN is used in organisations and how changes can be accomplished
Learning methods and activities
Workshops with student activity and mandatory exercises. The course contains 6 modules each covered through workshops, literature and exercises. A final project is delivered towards the end of the course.

Pass/fail based on final project. Exercises as mandatory requirement.
