Course content
The course is given every second year, next time autumn 2011. This course includes the following subjects: material properties, stress and strain analyses, deterioration mechanisms and design criteria, project level performance prediction, field measurement evaluation, pavement overlay design.
Learning outcome
This course gives an in-depth knowledge of flexible pavement design, and qualifications to perform advanced stress and strain analyses connected to material modelling and pavement design.
Learning methods and activities
Tutorial study with exercises, colloquia and some lectures. The exercises are mandatory. The lectures and exercises are in English when students who do not speak Norwegian take the course.
Recommended previous knowledge
TBA4315 Economics of Transport Infrastructure or equivalent knowledge.
Required previous knowledge
TBA4217 Pavement Technology or equivalent knowledge.
