Course content
In this course, students will have an internship in an organization. The purpose of the course is for students to apply knowledge that they have acquired in earlier semesters. Through authentic work tasks, reflection and guidance, the students will acquire an understanding of methods, problems to be addressed, processes and tools in working life relevant to the field of study. In the seminars, innovation processes in organizations will be a main topic.

- The student has knowledge about practical problems in the specialized field one is working within.
- The student has knowledge about the relation between different courses in the study program and how theory is applied in practice.
- The student has knowledge about different innovation processes in an organization.
- The student has knowledge about the expectations, needs and demands of employees in working life.
Skills
- The student must be able to apply theoretical knowledge from the study program in authentic working situations and see the connection between theory and practice.
- The student must master tools, techniques and terminology in the field of the internship.
- The student must be able to identity and describe innovation processes in the internship organization both in a theoretical and practical perspective.
Competence
- Ability to reflect upon one’s own development as an employee.
- Be able to communicate verbally and written, as well as cooperate with partners within and outside the organization.
- Ability to plan and solve tasks within the field of internship independently.
- Have insight into innovation processes in organization and which opportunities these create.
Learning methods and activities
The main activity in the course is the internship in an organization that is relevant for the study program. The student is expected to work in total 240 hours in the organization.
In addition, there will be two mandatory seminars together with students in other internships, digital guidance and written hand-ins. The student is expected to work on such activities for 160 hours. This is in addition to the internship hours spent in the organization.

Further on evaluation
Portfolio assessment. The elements of the portfolio will be specified at the beginning of the semester. There will be no resit exam in this course. All elements of the portfolio must be retaken on the next ordinary exam.
Required previous knowledge
The same as for the study program. The admission is restricted. Students will apply for admission and be accepted through a hiring process.
