Course content

The subject will give students practical insight into how to take an idea to the market through business creation. The students will work in teams with commercialization of a business idea and receive guidance from both an external mentor from the industry, as well as internal supervisors.

Students gain experience with topics such as:

  • The path from business idea to start-up
  • Project management
  • General business understanding
  • Business plan
  • Networks and alliances

Learning outcome

After completing the course, students should:

  • Have knowledge of basic concepts and perspectives within entrepreneurship.
  • Have experience in establishing, running, and end a student company
  • Be familiar with and be able to apply agile project methodology
  • Be able to develop a business plan and a sustainable business model around a business idea.
  • Understand their own resources and how to use networks to find resources.

Lectures, working with a project in teams, guidance and presentations.

Project assignment (60%) and oral exam (40%)

Previously approved mandatory assignments are not valid for later examinations.

There will only be a resit exam on the oral part of the examination.

Mandatory assignments, the project assignment and the oral exam must be retaken in case a student wants to improve a grade or retake the course.
