About the course

Course content

The course will be committed to sustainable place development on regional and local level emphasizing the land-use part of the municipal masterplan for specific areas in accordance with the Norwegian Planning and Building Act as planning tool. Land-use, planning process, communication and interdisciplinary cooperation are essential.

Learning outcome

Knowledge The candidate - has thorough knowledge about sustainable place development, the land-use part of the municipal master plan, planning provisions, impact assessment and risk and vulnerability analysis - has good knowledge about interdisciplinary cooperation and participation in planning processes - has knowledge about suitable drawing programs for planning work Skills The candidate - will be able to carry out analyses and material for regional and municipal planning - can work out land-use part of the municipal master plan and perform planning processes General Competence The candidate - will be able to solve regional- and municipal planning tasks in differerent situations and circumstances - can organize and communicate well in participatory and cooperative processes

The group assignment counts 100% towards the final grade in the course. You can register for a re-scheduled delivery of the group assignment in the next exam period.
