Spanish - Bachelor's Programme

The bachelor's programme in Spanish provides a thorough introduction to the Spanish language system in terms of structure. Linguistic differences between Norwegian and Spanish is emphasized. Oral and written language proficiency are important aspects in the course of study.

About the programme

By working with Spanish texts, students are provided with basic knowledge of the history, political structure and culture of the Spanish speaking world. 

The instruction is based on lectures and group work/tutorials. The course of study has rapid progression. Thus, students are recommended to actively participate in the lessons.

The lectures are conducted in Spanish and Norwegian, and the program expects that you possess language skills equivalent to level 2 Spanish from secondary or upper secondary school: A2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

The language of instruction in this programme is Norwegian

You have to meet the Norwegian language requirements, or have a Scandinavian language as your mother tongue, if you want to apply to any of NTNU’s degree programmes taught in Norwegian.

You also must meet the basic requirement for admission, and demonstrate that you meet the English language requirements.

The application deadline for the programme is April 15th. Students apply through Samordna Opptak.
