Science and Technology Studies (STS) - One-Year Programme
To understand modern society, it is important to know how knowledge and technology works, how it is produced and how it is applied.
This one-year programme in social studies focuses on the complex interaction between different kinds of knowledge, research, innovation, technology and cultural change, which together constitute the basis of social development.
The one-year programme consists of four courses with the following focus:
- ICT, social media and culture
- Nature, culture, design and consumption
- Innovation, knowledge, policy and communication
- Energy, environment, climate and society
The programme qualifies for teaching social studies in schools and can be included in most of the compiled bachelor degrees at NTNU.
The courses are taught in Norwegian.
