Welcome to the Nordic Conference on Future Health!

Trondheim 10 –12 September, 2024

Welcome to the Nordic Conference on Future Health!

We invite you to the landmark Nordic Conference on Future Health: Biobanks, Research, Innovation, Precision Medicine, in Trondheim 10-12 September 2024. This special stakeholder gathering is hosted by Biobank Norway and encompasses two parallel conferences—the 3rd Nordic Society of Human Genetics and Precision Medicine and the 2nd Nordic Biobank Conference—as well as joint plenary sessions for topics of interest to both communities.

The Nordic countries have a rich history of pioneering, innovation, and global leadership in health research and healthcare. With so many new areas of discovery in precision and personalized medicine, it is timely and critical that Nordic stakeholders convene to discuss the current challenges and opportunities. Join your fellow biobankers, epidemiologists, geneticists, clinicians, industry researchers, policymakers, educators and more to network and to share research findings, knowledge, and national experiences.

In addition to talks, posters, and expert panels, there is a pre-conference program of workshops to share knowledge and increase capacity.

On behalf of the organizing committee, we look forward to welcoming you to Trondheim!

Biobank Norway plays a significant role as a highly advanced and comprehensive national research infrastructure for health sciences, to enhance the use of biobanks as a basis for excellent research and innovation.

The Nordic Society of Human Genetics and Precision Medicine (NSHG-PM) represents a rapid growing movement of scientists, clinicians and other stakeholders demonstrating the value of combining data from omics research with health and registry data.

With the aim to share knowledge, create network opportunities and encourage collaboration between the Nordic countries in the field of biobanking, the Nordic Biobank Conference was organised for the first time in 2022.

The Nordic Biobank Network was established to consolidate and further strengthen Nordic biobanks through regular network meetings, site visits and research networks.
