The Department of Interdisciplinary Studies of Culture is an interdisciplinary unit with a staff trained in humanities and social sciences.
The department's employees are engaged in major national and international research projects. A large part of this research is conducted within interdisciplinary teams involving experts from science, technology, or medicine.
Currently, the department employs about 60 researchers, of which the majority is working as doctoral or postdoctoral research fellows.

Studies
The department offers two master’s programmes (taught in Norwegian): Equality and diversity and Science and Technology Studies (STS)

Continuing education
We offer courses in further education and part time studies tailored for people in full-time employment via NTNU’s Centre for Continuing Education and Professional Development (in Norwegian)
