Anaesthesia
Anaesthesia
We conduct research within the core areas of anesthesiology: perioperative anesthesia, intensive care medicine, emergency medicine, and pain medicine. We also have research activities within baromedicine and medical technology. Our research at NTNU is closely integrated with clinical patient care at St. Olavs Hospital and is conducted in collaboration with other hospitals, universities, and institutes at NTNU.
The department has a broad educational responsibility at NTNU, including the medical program, specialized nursing education, medical simulation, as well as master's and PhD courses. We supervise and conduct several master's and PhD projects.
