Visa requirements - EuropaCat2025
Visa requirements
EU/EEA citizens do not need a visa to visit Norway, and can stay for up to three months. This also applies if you have a residence permit in an EU/EEA country.
On the official website of The Norwegian Directorate of Immigration, you will find a list of countries outside the EU/EEA area that have visa exemption agreements with Norway, and their citizens do not need visas either.
If you are from a country not on this list, you have to apply for a visa, and must fill in the country you are a citizen of, and continue by following the instructions given by The Norwegian Directorate of Immigration at this site.
Letter of invitation
When applying for a visa, an invitation letter from the conference must be attached to the application. For some, this may also be necessary for the financing of their participation in the conference. If you contact the congress secretariat (europacat2025@konferanser.ntnu.no), an invitation letter will be provided on request. However, this letter does not constitute an obligation on the part of the congress's secretariat or the organizing committee to cover any travel and accommodation expenses, fees or other costs associated with meeting participation and staying in Norway.
Registration and payment must be received by Europacat 2025 before the invitation letter is sent.
