Even though Trondheim might sound far away, it has in fact become closely connected to Europe. Trondheim International Airport has daily direct flights to and from Amsterdam (KLM), Copenhagen (SAS) and Stockholm (SAS). There are also non-daily direct flights to and from several other destinations in Europe (e.g., London, Gdansk, Krakow, Riga, Berlin, Helsinki, Alicante, Malaga and Split).

There are many daily flights to and from Oslo (SAS and Norwegian Air Shuttle) – only a 50 minute flight away – with many European and intercontinental connections.

The airport is located 32 km east of Trondheim. Buses to Trondheim run every 20 min – or you can go by train or taxi.

Trondheim can also be reached by train from Oslo (SJ.no) or by Coastal Express (Hurtigruten) from Bergen along the seaways of the Norwegian fjords .
