The Office of Medical Education (Enhet for legeutdanning, ELU) leads and administrates the medical degree programme at NTNU. Employees at the office are study programme leader, administrative staff, and academic staff in part-time post responsible for problem-based learning and exams. The running of the medical degree programme is done in close collaberation with several of the departments at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Science, and with our decentralised study sites in Ålesund and Levanger. Each of the courses within the program are administered and led by study consultants and course coordinators at different departments. Teaching throughout the programme is given by academic staff spread across 40 education units. The Office of Medical Education also works closely with St. Olavs Hospital and the other hospitals, and many municipalities, in central Norway.
