Improving reproductive function in women with polycystic ovary syndrome by high intensity interval training
– IMPROV-IT
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is the most common endocrine disorder among women of reproductive age. In this study we assess whether regular exercise training can improve menstruation frequency and metabolic health in PCOS patients.
This trial started in June 2015. From 2017, the trial was extended to also include participants in Melbourne, Australia, in collaboration with the Australian Catholic University. We enrolled the last participants in February 2019.
