An overarching theme for the Higher education research group is: ‘Higher education as a driving force’. We work with several different topics and approaches within university pedagogy with higher education as a research context. What we have in common is a research interest in fundamental questions about what higher education is, can and should be, how education takes shape and purpose, and what potential higher education can have as a societal development driver.

The research group aims to establish interaction arenas where we

• establish research collaboration in smaller and larger projects
• arrange seminars, workshops and guest lectures
• share and give each other feedback on draft articles
• lead and discuss selected texts

The research group continues to build on a strong section for university pedagogy, integrated in the Department of Education and Lifelong Learning (IPL), as well as existing collaborations in local, national, and international networks. At the same time, we are always looking to expand cooperation with others who share an interest in university pedagogy and higher education as a field of research.
