Targets for implementation of capacity development are Kathmandu University School of Medical Science (KUSMS) and Kathmandu Medical College (KMC). The University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg South Africa acts as cooperating partner of development and is a beneficiary partner in the development. The coordinator of the project is the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).

The EPT Agenda 2023 is the largest international effort in the integration of planetary health, environmental and sustainability perspectives into physiotherapy education. Launched by the Environmental Physiotherapy Association in early 2020, the EPT Agenda 2023 currently unites over 40 participating universities and 30 supporting institutions in an unprecedented worldwide collaboration and co-creation process.
