Flying foil secures founding
The IMT spin-off company, Flying Foil, has secured founding from PILOT-E, that will greatly help finance the construction of a emission free high speed passenger ferry.

Development concept for Ocean Space Centre is decided
The Norwegian government have decided to continue the work on realising the Ocean Space Centre in Trondheim. The goal is to ensure that Norwegian ocean industry remains competitive, also in the future. The quality control process made it clear that the project is economically viable, and the project is now entering a new phase.

Off to a flying start
Flying Foil was launched as an independent company today. A spin off from the Department of Marin Technology at NTNU, the inventors and founders, John Martin Kleven Godø and Jarle Vinje Kramer, wishes to reduce both operating costs and emissions from high-speed marine vessels by using hydrofoils.

NTNU-students win international shipbuilding competition
Six students from the Department of Marine Technology at NTNU took first place this year, at the Dr. James A. Lisnyk Ship Design Competition 2018.
