The department offers teaching and supervision in modern history in the one-year programme in history, bachelor's and master's programmes in history, the master's programme in War and Society, the integrated 5-year master's programme in History with teacher education, and other course offerings. We also offer courses and supervision in the Globalisation and Sustainable Development master's programme.

At the PhD level we offer courses and supervision in the PhD programme in Historical and Cultural Studies

The study programmes in history and history with teacher education are offered in cooperation with the Department of Historical and Classical Studies. We are solely responsible for the master's programme in War and Society.
