The event is by invitation only.
Practical information
Local transportation
From Trondheim train station
Take bus 310 or 410 towards Fannrem to Orkanger Skysstasjon, which is right next to Bårdshaug. Bus 410 is a few minutes slower, but goes along the coast; 310 is more regular and takes the new road with more tunnels. Tickets can be bought in several ways, see https://www.atb.no/en/ticket/, and there is a combined shop/ticket vendor in the train station.
From the airport (two main alternatives)
1. The Værnes Express departs every twenty minutes from just outside the airport building with ticket sale on site. It takes you to Prinsens Gate (press stop) in 40 minutes. From there you walk 100 meters and change to 310 or 410 at Dronningens gate D1, using an AtB bus ticket as above.

2. There is a train station in the building with ticket machines. The train take you to the central station, wherefrom you take 310 or 410 with tickets as described above. Trains depart every whole hour, 06–23, Monday–Friday.
In case you arrive later than 22:00 or have trouble with the above connections, please contact us at the latest June 5 so that we can look into a shuttle alternative.
Taxis from the airport are expensive at the level EUR 160 even when ordering ahead, and EUR 240 when picked up on spot. Use Trøndertaxi, if at all (avoid no-name taxis). Pre-orders at +47 987 07373.
Note that you can almost never use cash (NOK) except in stores, and this includes the airport bus.
Travel: arrival Monday, departure Friday afternoon
Arrival is recommended on Monday evening June 12, whereafter the conference will commence in the morning Tuesday.
The final talk Friday will be placed so that one can reach any flight from Trondheim airport departing at 5 pm or later. This includes connections to Amsterdam, Copenhagen, and Oslo.
There are night trains from Trondheim to Oslo, see rail.cc or SJ Nord. Please contact us if you need help with any reservation.
Accommodation: hotel rooms prebooked, please inform us of any changes
Hotel rooms at Bårdshaug are prebooked Monday–Friday for all national and international invitees, and Tuesday–Friday for local participants. In case you have special requirements or need an adjustment of the booking, contact us at abel2023@math.ntnu.no. This includes any dietary restrictions, which we will then report to the hotel.
Reimbursement: after the conference, note ranges
Tickets should be standard economy fares. The Abel symposium will be able to cover travel expenses up to EUR 300 for Scandinavian travellers, EUR 700 for European travellers, and EUR 1500 for international.

Talks: digital, 50 minutes, per default recorded
Talks are 50 minutes, with ten minutes time for questions and time for switching between speakers. The room is equipped with one 16:9 projector on a larger screen, and one portable on the side with a somewhat smaller screen and a connected iPad pro for white-screen writing. There will be a 2 x 1 m^2 portable whiteboard, but no blackboard in the room. Talks will be recorded for possible later use in the Abel prize Youtube channel (this is a general pre-requisite for the symposium, but you may opt out of it).
