SAMMEN
"SAMMEN" means "together" in English.
Do you want to do something for others while also benefiting yourself?
SAMMEN is by students, for students. Our main goal is to create strong relationships and friendships, and to achieve this, it can be great to meet up around various activities.
All participation in SAMMEN is free.
When we meet in SAMMEN, we build friendships through low-threshold activities. In SAMMEN, we take turns with a partner to plan something fun, such as cooking outdoors, going on hikes, playing board games, joining an overnight trip under the open sky, and much more!
In SAMMEN, social well-being is the focus. The activities are agreed upon within the group and are something everyone wants to participate in. Each group consists of six to eight participants, and we schedule five meetings at times that suit the group.
In SAMMEN, you will meet students from various study programs across NTNU. The groups are formed based on your interests.
Whether you're new to Trondheim or have been studying here for a few years already, you are welcome to join.
It’s not always easy to find fellow students with common interests, and since friendship and well-being are crucial for academic success, we in SAMMEN want to help more people achieve this. Our purpose is to give students the opportunity to make a positive difference for others while also benefiting themselves. It works very well to make some plans and take turns taking responsibility.
Activities
The activities are student-led within the groups, and all students can suggest new activities. This happens through active member participation.
SAMMEN groups
All SAMMEN members are divided into groups. Each group consists of six to eight students. The group will continue throughout an entire semester.
Each group member will organize an activity together with one partner. This responsibility will rotate among the participants in each SAMMEN group.
Recruitment will initially take place from various student groups at NTNU, regardless of year or field of study.
Attendance
It is important that students in the various SAMMEN groups attend the meetings that they have scheduled together and take responsibility for the community. During the initial meeting, you will be introduced to each other, divided into groups, and agree on five meeting times.
In SAMMEN, we will together make a positive difference for others, while also benefiting ourselves.
Membership is based on the principle of being free. This means that activities should be low-threshold and not involve significant expenses.
Each group can apply for funding to support the event they wish to carry out.
