Investigating the teacher identity (re)construction of pre-service teachers throughout their practicum

In my Ph.D. project, I explore how pre-service teachers (re)construct their teacher identities during their practicum experiences. By focusing on their classroom teaching, I aim to understand how their teacher identities develop in real teaching contexts.

About the project

My PhD project investigates teacher identity (re)construction of pre-service teachers throughout their practicum. Since practicum experiences serve as critical moments for teacher identity development, I focus on their classroom practices and interactions with students. To gain deeper insights, I observe their teaching, attend their pre- and post-lesson meetings with mentors, and conduct stimulated recall interviews to explore their reflections and experiences in depth.
