eBLINK: engelske Bildebøker for Lærere i Norske Klasserom
The purpose of this research project is to explore guided use of expert-curated digital English children’s book libraries into Norwegian classrooms where students are learning English. We have a long-term vision for widespread use of a digital children’s English e-book library throughout the kommune, fylke, and Norway in general.
Our current project will enhance learning and language skills, as well as creating new knowledge about how to promote students’ language skills by providing books that better fit their learning objectives. Similarly, we believe that the work of this research project will be equally beneficial to the education students at NTNU. This is an important project as it will meet the needs of teachers who are engaging with English-language children’s literature in the classroom.
The objective of this research project is to identify some of the potential benefits and drawbacks associated with the introduction of a digital library system so that we can develop a solution for the unavailability of current, diverse English children’s literature in Norwegian classrooms.
