The program offers a variety of interesting field course both at home and abroad. In addition, there are good opportunities for long stay abroad during the program.

Natural resources plays a particularly important role in the modern history of Norway. Our fantastic access to water, oil, gas and minerals has made it possible to take a central role in technology development and has created great values. Production and management of minerals, gas and oil will continue be a cornerstone in the social development in the future.

The department offers education on bachelor`s and master`s levels about primary geological processes, focusing when possible on the significance of geological processes and resources for the society.
