Screening and classification
Screening and classification
Screening and classification are among the most essential and fundamental unit processes, not just in mineral processing but also in aggregates production, food processing, recycling and soil treatment. The separation of particles according to size (screening) or sedimentation velocity (classification) is indispensable in most processing circuits.
The Mineral Processing Laboratory is equipped with both laboratory and pilot screens, which can be operated in either wet or dry mode. Our SWECO screens are characterized by a wide selection of sieves and high efficiency, whereas our pilot scale DERRICK screen offer high capacity. Wet classification can be performed with hydrocyclones with a wide spectrum of operation., whereas the ALPINE is able to achieve dry classification down to 5-10 um.
