Spatial and temporal analytics - about

The world is complex and rapidly changing. Everything happens at a place and at a time, and events taking place in one location affects other places. Typically, events that take place near each other in time and space are more related than those that happens far away. To understand places, and the phenomena, processes or events that exist at a certain place, and how these relate to what is found or take place elsewhere, one needs tools. Core activities for the “Spatial and temporal analytics” research group is to develop new tools, use, or adapt existing tools for spatio-temporal analytics. This includes issues on representing spatio-temporal data, exploratory spatio-temporal visualization, and the development of spatio-temporal theory and mathematical models of spatio-temporal data.

We represent a multidisciplinary research team that is well equipped to investigate the processes that shape the world around us and that provide decision support for a better common future. The members of the group are actively applying for research grants and are currently involved in several research projects.
