EIT Health

About

EIT Health was established in 2015, as a "knowledge and innovation community" (KIC) under the umbrella of the EU body European Institute for Innovation & Technology (EIT). Backed by the European Union, EIT Health is Europe’s largest organized network for collaboration within life science and health, and one of the largest life science initiatives world-wide.

The EIT Health community initiates calls, funds, and conducts a broad range of innovation and education activities. EIT Health network connects approximately 150 Partners within industry, healthcare, research institutions, universities, and public sector organizations. By connecting the right people and the right topics across European borders, innovation can happen at the intersection of research, education, and business – for the benefit of citizens.

NTNU Health – Associate Partner in EIT Health

NTNU has joined the EIT Health network with Norway Health Tech (NHT) as a strategic partner and launched its presence in March 2022 on Kick Off event at the Trondheim Tech Port.

We ensure the visibility of the EIT Community and raise awareness of activities and cooperation opportunities for research, education and business areas. We also liaise with the relevant national, regional, and local authorities and facilitate sharing EIT Innovation Community expertise.
