Research

I am studying oxidative stress in copepods. Calanus Finmarchicus is an important food source and a keystone species in the ocean so it is important to understand how they respond to stress. My project aims to better understand how copepods respond to environmental changes and physiological mechanisms underpinning these responses. My supervisor is Kang Nian Jeff Yap and I am working with the copepods from NTNU SeaLab.

I have a bachelor degree in biology and organism's physiology from the University of Strasbourg in France. Then, I completed my master degree in biology, evolution and ecology at the University of Bergen in Norway. My master thesis is about male sexual selection in the seed beetle Callosobruchus maculatus.

Student explores ecology impacts in Norway through Ohio State global research program

Erin Murray, an exchange student from Ohio State University, shared her experience in Norway with the TRONDBUSS program at NTNU. She joined our team during fieldwork were we investigated the impact of offshore windfarm noise on copepods.

Effects of environmental challenges on physiological and life-history performance of a small marine copepod, Calanus finmarchicus.

I presented my latest work on copepods at the SEB 2024 conference in Prague. In the video, I present my results on eggs, nauplii, adult males and females Calanus finmarchicus.

Recipient of Best Student Oral Presentation Award 2024 from the World Association of Copepodologists

This summer 2024, I had the opportunity to attend the 15th International Conference on Copepoda in Hiroshima. I presented my work on Calanus finmarchicus and was honored to receive the 2024 Best Student Oral Presentation Award!

Effects of heat stress and oxidative stress exposure on different life stages of copepod Calanus finmarchicus

Oxidative stress in copepods as an integrated response of multiple environmental stressors associated with climate change.
