Research

Prof. Madlener’s main research interests, on which he has published extensively over the last 25 years, are in the fields of energy economics and policy; sustainable energy systems; energy efficiency and rebound; transportation research; the adoption, temporal & spatial diffusion of innovation; and investment in innovative energy technologies under uncertainty as well as portfolio and energy system analysis.
