Subramanya Prasad Chandrashekar
About
I am a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Psychology at the NTNU. I received my Ph.D. in Management (Organizational behavior track) from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
My research interests are within the area of Judgement and Decision-making. I am interested in how individual beliefs, and the structure of information available in the social context relate to people's judgment and behavior. For example, I have studied how individuals’ belief in free will affects the extent of their blame attribution to others, and how they assess their own susceptibility to biases. In my ongoing work, I connect choice perceptions with moral judgments. Additionally, in much of my work I have focused on the systematic review of well-known findings in the literature. In my work so far, I have collaborated with scholars from Organizational Studies, Experimental Philosophy, and Social Psychology, among others. My work mainly relies on experimental methodology.
I am also an affiliate with the Center for the Science of Moral Understanding at The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill
